UL Closed For Holidays, Resumes Jan. 3

first_imgThe University of Liberia (UL) yesterday announced the closure of classes in observance of the festive season, a release has said.According to the UL release, the decision followed the recently-held successful second college-wide graduation that brought much visibility and prominence especially to the undergraduate colleges, their deans, chairpersons, and the graduating students.Dr. Emmet A. Dennis, president of the university, who presided over the main Commencement Convocation on December 14, meanwhile extends profound thanks and appreciation to all who made possible the successful holding of the 97th Commencement Convocation. Specifically, Dr. Dennis extends his deepest gratitude to the Chairperson of the 97th Commencement Convocation, Dr. Ophelia Inez Weeks, vice president for Academic Affairs, vice presidents, faculty, the administration, the chorus, UL police and the Staff Association for their dedication and hard work which they committed to planning and executing all the numerous ceremonies comprising this year’s commencement. Dennis also extends similar warm sentiments to the leadership of the graduating class, the leadership of ULSU and various campus-based organizations for meaningfully contributing to and participating in the commencement exercises. GAA NEWS: NAOMH CONAILL U-14S CELEBRATE

first_imgCongratulations to our U14 team and their management who were crowned U14 County champions last Wednesday after they defeated St Eunans in the final. Naomh Conaill 5-08 2-13 St Eunans. This was the first team in the clubs history to capture the U14 title so well done to everyone involved.There was no winner of last weeks lotto. The numbers drawn were 1,9,24 and 25. Two prizes of €50 went to Ann Craig Ard Patrick and Mary Gavigan Glen Road. Next weeks jackpot is €3,000.Well done to our U12 team who had another great victory over Aodh Ruadh on Monday night to stay top of the league. The U16’s are home to Ardara on Monday 22nd July at 7.30pm.Tickets for the Ulster final will be given out in the clubhouse on Thursday evening between 7 and 8pm.
