The Nokia 4.2 is the company’s first phone for the Indian market this year and it slots in the affordable segment. The handset brings a fresh new design as it highlights a LED notification power button as well as a dedicated Google Assistant button. The Nokia 4.2 will go on sale exclusively for a 7-day period starting May 7 on Nokia.com/phones and exclusively across select retail outlets and partners like Croma, Reliance, Sangeetha, Poorvika, Big C and MyG starting May 14. From May 21, the Nokia 4.2 will be available across India at leading retail stores and Nokia.com/phones.Launch offers on the Nokia 4.2 include a Rs 500 instant discount until June 10, 2019. The phone touts a premium design language for a low cost handset. It also sports an edge-to-edge 5.7-inch HD+ (1520×720) waterdrop LCD display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and 295ppi. The Nokia 4.2 also supports Widevine L1 for streaming content on platforms like Netflix in true HD resolution. The Nokia 4.2 offers a couple of unique buttons on the frame. The first is a LED notification light embedded in the power button. The button will glow whenever you receive a notification like a message, email or a missed call. Next, you also get a dedicated Google Assistant button on the left side of the frame, allowing you to quickly access the Google AI with just a tap of the button.Powering the Nokia 4.2 is a 2.0Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 439 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone supports dual Nano SIM cards and a dedicated slot for microSD card up to 400GB.The Nokia 4.2 gets a dual rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 2-megapixel secondary camera for depth. On the front, the Nokia 4.2 gets an 8-megapixel selfie camera. It houses a 3,000mAh battery and runs stock Android Pie out-of-the-box as part of the Android One program.
